Nice quiet place to see fall leaves and wildlife.

点评：This a a very nice place to see the fall colors. We also saw deer along the road, lots of water birds and a fox one time. It’s quiet and wasn’t crowded when we were there the last weekend of October. We stayed in cottage 2. This cottage has 3 bedrooms with queen beds, 2 downstairs and one upstairs with a spiral staircase. Each downstairs bedroom has its own bathroom. One bathroom has 2 doors. They provide towels, lotion and small bars of soap similar to typical hotels. Not all of their cottages are set up the same so ask questions when you book your stay. You can park a few cars right in front of each cottage and there’s some parking across the road. There’s one cottage similar to cottage 2 that is wheelchair accessible. All but the accessible one have some steps to get into them. The cottage was clean and set up very nice. It has a full kitchen with a dishwasher and basic utensils. It’s heated and cooled as well. The wall on the lakeside is large windows with a perfect view of the lake and there’s a deck with the same view with a couple of rocking chairs. Rogersville is about 2 miles away and there’s a nice grocery store to stock up for your stay. There are gas stations and some fast food and sit down restaurants in town as well. The lodge is close by. We ate at the lodge restaurant a couple of times. The food was great and it has a perfect view of the lake and boat docks. If you play golf they have a huge golf course. And not far away are some nice picnic areas. The staff was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again soon. Be sure you check the website for rules and read what they give you at check in so you know how to get new towels, etc.
