点评:Can't beat the location. It's right in the middle of downtown.
This is a municipal stadium, and it is getting very old. The design is the same/similar to many other municipal stadiums around Japan. This means the concourse area is too small. The food choices are minimal. Kiyoken (Yokohama Chinese business) must have won the bid because the concessions INSIDE the stadium are primarily this company. Who wants shumai and noodles during a baseball game? There are food trucks outside the gates, and the gates do allow reentry, so many buy food at the food trucks and bring it inside. The food was a big disappointment at this stadium. Lack of choice, lack of options.
I have seen this same setup at the Kobe Hotte Motte Stadium.
They added two large bleachers in the nosebleed section for the Olympics. My!!! It is high.
Washrooms have been updated for the Olympics. They were nice.
We are visiting all the baseball stadiums in Japan, and we were not too impressed with this venue. We were fortunate that it was not killer hot this afternoon, but we shudder to think about how hot it would be sitting in those chairs in the summertime.
