Terrible customer service

点评：A group of 8 people arrived here having paid the best part of £1800 to play a nice course. On arrival everyone had food and drinks prior to the round. We were then given dirty buggies with no water or GPS. The round itself was fine and moved at a good pace but the course looks very tired, with divot covered tee boxes. On finishing we went to the upstairs bar (this was 1845) to have a drink as our transfer was not collecting us until 2000. We were immediately told we could not have a drink and to leave the premises as a private party was booked. After some conversation where it was pointed out that this was not mentioned to us prior to teeing off (and if it had been we would have rearranged our collection time) we were served a drink. Within 5 minutes of this the organiser of the private event asked us to leave the bar area (even although nobody else was there). We descended to the pro shop as it has a sofa to be told we had to leave the building completely and stand in the pouring rain until our transfer arrived (45 minutes away). For a golf course that rates itself so highly past and presently this was absolutely shocking. To treat paying guests in this way shows they only care about the money and nothing else. Will never be back (having been there for the last 4 years) and advise others to find alternatives where you are treated as you should be.
