Museum of the Shenandoah Valley的点评
点评：I was very surprised by this museum, being I expected it to be mostly of the American Civil War in the valley. Instead, it was everything but the Civil War! It was so well organized and had such really great displays.
It was the dollhouse portion that I actually spent more time in than anywhere else in the museum and took more photos as well. The Tara dollhouse was far and away just incredible in the sheer about of smallest details that were added to it. It just kind of stops you and you find yourself seeing that they included everything from scenes in the movie..... And the other dollhouses were just as incredible too!
There are many super paintings in the museum - but it was the one of George Washington that I thought was probably the best have seen and his face is a little different than those paintings by artist that never saw him in person.
And then there was the furniture, and this was outstanding too. The chairs and the chests and desks all are so beautiful and show the varied cultural inputs into the society from both the English and the French.
