Ark of Bukhara的点评
点评：Though largely restored, the Ark Citadel of Bukhara is a most imposing structure and impressive sight.
We visited in the evening with our guide, who took care of the entrance fee and took us around the multitude of museums and sights inside. So there's one tip: have a guide. The museums are full of rare and priceless artefacts, and the number of exhibits is simply overwhelming.
The evening is a wonderfully quiet time to visit, the day-trippers will have thinned out and you feel as though you have the place to yourself.
And do walk through the excavation site to the north side. At sunset you will have wonderful views, and as it grows dark, the an awe-inspiring viewpoint to watch old Bukhara transforming from day to night, looking magical under its illuminations. The paved area by the entrance then comes alive from tourists relinquishing the ground to locals enjoying riding scooters or enjoying the fairground type attractions from a bygone age,
