Forum Spa at Celtic Manor的点评
点评：First the good points: an excellent facial carried out by Shannon. She was superb, and after listing my reasons outlined below she gave us both a free glass of prosecco. My sis in law also had an extra thrown in with her pedicure and had her hard skin removed at no extra cost.
Now for the down points: car park charge - never had this on a spa day before, it's not like the hotel is in a town centre, there's nothing else there, so this is just a money making scheme.
Lockers - hardly any were in working order, everybody had issues and I lost count of the number of times I had to ask a member of staff to unlock it. Very frustrating.
Changing facilities- too small for the amount of people using them. One of the loos not working (and wasn't working in March 24 so it's an ongoing problem), no hook on the back of the door, soap broken in dispenser, no benches in individual changing rooms so you have to balance everything on two hooks...showers switching off after 10 seconds and they are too cold, even when adjusted.
Spa facilities- these are tired and need a re-vamp. The steam room seems to be set on an economy setting as it steamed up for 10 seconds and would then switch off for five minutes. The pool area is so loud, noisy kids screaming, how is this allowed on a spa day? There should be set hours as it was far from relaxing sitting by the pool.
Overall, the hotel seems to be only interested in sales, and not valuing the customer experience. There were just too many people using the facilities and changing rooms, which was quite stressful with the lockers not working, and defeated the purpose of the spa day. Other than the excellent treatment, I was very disappointed as this is supposed to be a five star hotel, but it doesn't live up to two stars.
