Convenient Location but Needs Modernization
Tempe Diablo Stadium的点评
点评：This is one of the last spring training stadiums centrally located. Many teams have relocated to the western and northern fringes of metro Phoenix.
The main concourse is very narrow and is further restricted by 1) no standing zone behind the last row of seats 2) people seeking shade against the wall.
Concessions in the main concourse are mediocre but there's a wider selection available down the left field line.
There are regular seats between first and third, but down the lines are metal bleachers with seatbacks. They're not angled toward home plate so you will have to tilt your head and body to the left or right.
There's a narrow patch of lawn seating in left field. There's no lawn seating in right field and you can't walk through the outfield.
Scoreboard is 1980s vintage, no video screen.
It's located near an industrial park. Some people park there and walk over. You can walk about 10 minutes through the industrial park and take an east / west bus from Southern Ave.
They have a relatively generous outside food and drink policy for Cactus League. You can bring in sealed water bottles and snacks except no branded fast food (i.e. McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A).
Overall, it's a mixed experience. Proximity to Tempe shopping, food, drink is an attribute. Stadium is outdated compared to the newer venues in Surprise / Glendale / Peoria.
