A great family day out
Bekonscot Model Village & Railway的点评
点评：I would first of all like to praise the management and staff at the Bekonscot Model Village. We initially planned to visit the model village a few weeks ago to celebrate our grandson's birthday but were unable to do so due to illness. We contacted Bekonscot and they were very understanding and allowed us to transfer our booking without any additional cost. We attended today and were directed to where we could park by friendly, smiling staff (always a good start to a day out). The staff in the ticket office were also very friendly as were the staff in the cafe. It made such a pleasant change to find people in the leisure industry that seemed to be genuinely happy in what they were doing.
The model village itself was very pretty and well laid out containing various scenes from a bygone age with a touch of humour in the names of the some of the shops. For example the meat shop was named "Sam & Ellas" and a greengrocers "Chris P Lettuce". It is a great way to spend a few hours with family and friends. The refreshment area was remarkably clean and the young cafe staff worked tirelessly and were helpful and polite. The toilet facilities were clean which makes a refreshing change from some establishments.
All in all a lovely day out. Thank you and well done.
