点评：We visited on a Sunday in August and joined the English language tour group, we also bought a guide book in English which gives a brief history and explanation, with numerous black and white photographs. I am not a fan of Le Corbusier or indeed new brutalist architecture in general, but the Couvent is worth a visit if only to see this extreme example. It is truly amazing and on a gigantic scale. The finish in the concrete is particularly rough and crude. I did not like it but am glad I visited. The whole monument would benefit from some TLC, e.g. some trimming of the vegetation, removal of spiders' webs, tidying up. There are several odd pieces of wooden furniture scattered about e.g. in the church, which look very much at odds with Le Corbusier's design and are the diametrical opposite in furnishing terms of his striking cupboards.
It is worth noting that there are many steep concrete steps in the Couvent and that the staircase down to the crypt is not safe (IMHO) for people with mobility difficulties. Apparently lifts were included in the original design but cut on cost grounds.
