点评:If like us you have an overnight in Amiens, the historic Saint-Leu is a very pretty area to have dinner.
It's full of quaint half-timbered houses, cobbled streets and a picturesque, narrow canal. With a string of restaurants along the water's edge, it’s nicknamed the Little Venice of the Nord.
We enjoyed an early evening stroll here and settled on a waterfront restaurant, Le Quai, for dinner.
Most of these quay-side restaurants have outdoor tables but, having not booked ahead, we missed out on one of the sought-after outside tables and had to sit inside instead.
It’s a popular dining area so it’s worth booking ahead. We only got a table because we were there very early (we were there just as the restaurant was opening), and there were only two of us. We were still lucky to get a table and within a very short time, the place was full.
GETTING THERE:
Saint-Leu is only a short walk from the Cathedral - it took us less than 10 minutes
