Arley Hall & Gardens的点评
点评：We had been to Arley some years back and made the decision to go again Aug 2025.
We parked up and walked into the shop where you pay & as we were walking over to the counter a very nice young lady asked us when were halfway across the shop was it two adults & parking we confirmed and paid full price, there was no mention of the hall being shut on that day until I bumped into a rather offhand and quite condescending member of staff coming out of the hall door, I asked when it would be open this lady said it would not be opening today and if we had looked online we have known that or looked at the sign in the shop ! on our way out through the shop we looked for the sign, it was not obvious & in quite small print, if you are going to charge two retired people £ 27.00 for a look around the grounds only I feel the fact the Hall was closed should have been clearly displayed in the car park as well as clearly on display in the shop so an informed decision could be made to stay or go.
I would also say that the outside eating area is in quite disarray, there was only two working canopies which were being shared where possible, two were broken although staff did try to put them up without success and the chairs and tables looked a mess, such a shame on a great sunny day everyone wanted to sit outside but had to fit into the indoor space.
After making my observations I must add the lunch we had was faultless and the staff were great but I feel Arley have not got onto the fact that so many places offer a discount for retired people to get them through the door because they like to spend wherever they go, the grey pound rules.
