库姆堡村的点评
点评：We had a great time visiting Castle Combe from Chippenham.
The expectation was that it would be super overcrowded, but it really did feel quite manageable, granted it was a Thursday?
We chose to sit outside The Castle Inn, where we grabbed a few drinks. The hand-cut chips were great, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite.
On a slight detour, we walked down from the village (passing the bridge on our way out) and we discovered a public footpath. It led us through the beautiful countryside and we walked beside goats and lambs along this trail. I would definitely recommend checking out this footpath if you enjoy walking, the elevation is minimal so I would say it is quite easy.
We spent in total around 4-5 hours in the village (aligning with the bus times from Chippenham) and it was the perfect amount of time. I think we may have got slightly bored if we hadn't taken the walk.
