点评：Although access by car has a few options, you might want to plan entry, as exiting dense traffic can be stressful. We leave Port Rd at the lights, opposite Philips Street and wind slowly right, past the cafe, to the car park.
Immediately you see the police horses which can be viewed but not fed. There's a choice of pathways, towards the lake or the cafe and we did a circle, heading to the cafe first. Unfortunately, it wasn't open, but the menu looks good and an excellent playground is nearby. We made our way along the river, down majestic stairways, watching trees with autumn leaves and a spoonbill in the water. On advice from a passer-by, we went over the small bridge to get a view from the other side and into the tunnel just for the hell of it. Back over and on to the lake, we circled it and returned to the car.
A very pretty and relaxing walk that we plan to take little relatives. Very worthwhile and totally free.
