点评:We booked our wine cellar tour and lunch via email and were informed that wine tasting could be done either before the cellar tour or after lunch, with no reservation required.
We enjoyed the wine tasting, cellar tour, and lunch at Haute Cabrière.
The wine tasting conducted by Pauline was unhurried with helpful explanations. My personal favourite was the Chardonnay, which I ended up purchasing.
The cellar tour became a private experience as we were the only four people in the group. It was informative and gave good insight into the winery’s history.
Lunch was good, and the setting was beautiful, overlooking the valley.
One weird encounter in the restaurant though. The restaurant is a long rectangle with glass doors to facing the valley. There are tables inside and outside. While we were seated indoor, a guest at a nearby table (who also had door) briefly came over and opened the door next to us, asking if it was okay to do so. I was caught off guard, but my friend responded quickly and asked him to close the door, which he did. The interaction was brief, but it felt weird since he could have open the door next to his table or sit outside?
