Southwick's Zoo的点评
点评：We were watching the Olympics, and one of the ads that came on, several times, was for Southwick's Zoo.
How strange!
Yet, a week later, we booked a highly suspect (turned out to be fine, but still weird) hotel in Grafton that was partway through renovation, and then we paid a visit to SZ. There were coupons, but they proved too complicated to use.
The rhinos in the ad were what lured us to the area, but it was hot, and they just lay in the dust. They were still cool to look at, and the rest of the zoo was interesting, and mostly nestled in hillside.
They have a special rhino program, where I'm told proceeds are directed "approximately 50% of proceeds that supported rhino conservation through our non profit, Earth Ltd. The other funds are going to the new Earth Connection Center that will have an entire area built for rhino conservation."
The area is a pretty part of Massachusetts, and a worthwhile overnight or day trip.
