点评:I visited the zoo for a morning trip out. Its not a large zoo by any means but is a great trip out for any age.
The zoo is very conscious of its animals and I found it to be very considerate of the environment the animals were kept in to keep them healthy and happy.
Its important to wear comfortable shoes as it involves a lot of walking. I found the map difficult to follow which seems quite absurd but I couldnt always tell where I was by looking at my surrouning and comparing it to the map. That could just be me
Although I had the time to get to the oranguatang keepers talk, I couldnt find where they were. When I eventually got to the right place I had missed half of it but what I did hear was interesting as the keeper talked about the different characteristics of each of the animals. I did see them being fed their peppers though and found it utterley charming that they put one in each hand - as much as they could carry. One of the young ones had something they shouldnt have and so the keeper went to the other side and I watched as the elder of the group, picked up the item and put it through the hatch for the keeper. All very clever and intuitive. She definately had a good rapport with them. Her love for the animals came across in her talk.
I missed one area of the zoo but by this time i was back at the exit and decided it was time for food and a coffee. I ordered the brunch which was delicious. I could have stayed and gone back to the bit I had missed but decided not to
