点评：Jersey Zoo feels like a rare find, a conservation space that prioritises quiet connection over performance, and encourages you to slow down and really observe.
As a team working in educational publishing, we spend a lot of time thinking about how children learn best, through stillness, observation, curiosity, and care. And in many ways, this place reflects that back at you.
We spent time watching an orangutan by the water’s edge. At first glance, it seemed like stillness - until he reached in and drew out a sack filled with food, placed there with thought and purpose. That quiet moment captured something essential: the idea that learning doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it waits.
The enclosures are beautifully designed, spacious, calm, and clearly built with the animals’ needs at the centre. Nothing here feels over-sensationalised. It’s thoughtful conservation in action.
An inspiring visit, both personally and professionally. Highly recommended for families, educators, and anyone who believes learning begins with looking.
