点评:Ivisited Parc Bic in Rimouski 30 July 2025 and was truly amazed by its natural beauty. Seeing a few seals resting peacefully near the shore was unforgettable. As someone not yet fluent in English or French, I accidentally entered the area from a side path where the warning sign wasn’t clearly visible. If I had seen the sign, I would never have gotten that close.
Unfortunately, instead of calmly informing me, a woman — who was not a park official or authority — confronted me with aggressive shouting and constant insults. Her reaction was harsh and hurtful, especially for someone still learning the language and local, but in that moment, I saw someone judgmental, angry, and completely lacking empathy.
I respect wildlife and understand the importance of keeping a safe distance. But I also believe that people who truly care about nature should lead by example — with empathy and education, not hostility. When individuals who have no official role take it upon themselves to police others with aggression, they don’t protect nature — they harm the atmosphere of respect and learning that is so important in shared public spaces.
We protect nature best when we also treat each other with kindness, patience, and respect.
