History comes alive
Kent Delord House Museum的点评
点评：A small group of us (high school classmates at a mini reunion) visited the house one fine autumn day. First, the place itself is wonderful -- all the furnishings and artwork and miscellaneous equipment were excellent and so interesting. Second, the house is in a great location, with views of Lake Champlain and within a few steps of a cool monument (even with its un-PC representation of an Indian/native American). Thirdly, our guide through the house was the museum director, and she was fabulous -- so knowledgeable (of course) but also witty and fun.
I've subsequently visited the museum's website and checked out its "Artifact Corner" videos, which are just as interesting and fun as the museum's director.
Don't miss this place if you like history and old houses and period furnishings.
