However, the company cancelled my flight on September 1, only two days before the tour, and they did so by WhatsApp message only.
They knew I hadn’t read the message, yet they never sent me an email and never contacted me through Tripadvisor/Viator, even though they had my correct contact information.
On the morning of September 3, I went to the pier believing I was finally going to see the Nazca Lines. That’s when I was told my flight had been cancelled and my seats had been given to other passengers. I was completely shocked and heartbroken.
Later, when I emailed JD about this, they denied the truth and blamed me for not reading a WhatsApp message I never saw. Their public reply on Tripadvisor was also false, trying to shift responsibility.
JD and their staff, including José, acted as if this was perfectly normal. They showed no regret or accountability, and they offered no compensation, only a refund.
If a customer cancels at the last minute, they charge 100%, but when they cancel, they pay nothing and don’t even apologize. This company clearly has no integrity, and I’m afraid they will do the same to other travelers.
Avoid JD – completely untrustworthy and irresponsible.
