点评：Lots of activities, fun to be had for most depending on your budget, interests and your time. A variety of activities for rainy or sunny days, drive by or stay for the day.
Loves: Activity options for budget and time, order from table at the cafe. Parking for all kinds of vehicles including caravans and campers. Great souvenir store to get pressies for loved ones and a candy shop to knock your sweet senses back out the door.
Our rating on the experience is because although we enjoyed stopping by and taking a look around. We only tried the toboggan ride, for a 5 min trip you may find you wait longer in the queue. The team are friendly, helpful and ensure you understand the controls. It is great for the controlled, low speed and low variety of bumps or paths for a new experience with kids.
Wouldn’t recommend wearing a pencil or short skirt like I did for this or some of the activities on offer as it requires careful dignity moves getting on and off. We found the experience personally slow, low joy to value output personally as it has a lot of controlled breaking and one path. After the trip, we spoke of our experience in comparison to the one in Queenstown, New Zealand, so if you are trying this for the first time at the Big Banana with young kids like we did 10 years ago you may find the experience exhilarating and just the right level of speed for the smaller riders with you.
Note: We were impressed by the activities available since we came 10 years ago and how many people loved being there. The atmosphere was a bustling family show grounds kind of vibe. Bathrooms are available in different locations and are clean.
Service at the cafe was to the table once you ordered using the code on the table. There are a lot of food options, tables seem busy even at 2:30pm and the table turnover is quick. Sitting inside was cool but loud like a cafeteria. If you are someone who is hyper sensitive to sounds or gets anxiety from the number of people or activities then you may need to consider some reasonable accommodations for yourself. My children wear loop earplugs or play with something to fidget while they adjust until the drink/food arrives.
Outside the cafe is the shop and Big Banana which is busy for the must take home picture of the big fruit. There is a queue often, so pick your timing, prepare to wait and where you want to get a photo.
There are plenty of things to do and look at. What is free is the car park, entry to the area, a photo with the Big Banana, watching candy making and brochures to consider other tourist attractions.
Financially it can get expensive and is similar to a show ground with individual paid activities. Checkout the package options to find what is ideal for your visit (see photo or their website for more up to date packages).
Accessibility: there are ramps and access options, check in with team to get assistance for your needs. Consider your personal or companion needs and reasonable adjustments required to have a great time at this location if stopping by.
