A must-do tour to see the hidden rock art

点评：I highly recommend booking an interpretive tour when you visit Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park. We visited on June 6th and took the 10:00 AM tour, which costs $21 and lasts about an hour and a half. The experience was fantastic from the start—the front desk lady was incredibly friendly and gave us a great introduction to the tour. Our guides, Tanya drove us out to the restricted area and led the way. Taralyn taught us all about the fascinating archaeology of the area. Tanya shared incredible knowledge about local herbs and fascinating Indigenous stories about the prairie chicken, wolf, elk, and, of course, the ancient rock art itself. It is a beautiful opportunity to learn about Indigenous culture and traditions. Best of all, you cannot access or see these valuable rock carvings and paintings without being on a guided tour, making it absolutely worth booking!
