6th Largest Aquarium in the World
乔治亚水族馆的点评
点评：The Georgia Aquarium was one of the places on our "Must Visit" list when we went to Atlanta recently. I read online that this aquarium is the 6th largest in the world, but in the Western Hemisphere it ranks #1 in terms of size.
We went on Easter Sunday. It was very busy!!!! Don't know if it is like that every day. So busy that parents should keep a better eye on their kids. Some of those kiddos were running around like it was a playground. Anyways, I like how they separated the aquarium into different sections and exhibits. We watched two shows. The sea lion show was cool. The Dolphin show was even better.
There was a multitude of marine life. Personally, my favorites were the Whale Sharks. They are such gentle giants. Wish they were well enough to be allowed to go back to the ocean. Although the Georgia Aquarium is gigantic, it still seems way too small for the Whale Sharks to live comfortably.
The moving walkway through the tunnel was an AWESOME feature!! I went through that area several times during our stay. Around 6pm there were far less folks around, so that was a great time to go to that moving walkway through the tunnel.
We spent a total of 5 hours at the Georgia Aquarium. It was probably a one and done deal for us. Don't know if we will ever return. For first time visitors to Atlanta, though, I do recommend checking out this special place.
