点评：I dropped into the American Pigeon Museum on a Route 66 trip. I like weird museums so this had some appeal. The museum is free to enter and donations are accepted. The museum covers the history of pigeons as kept by humans. It includes pigeon racing and carrier pigeons in the wars, for example. The history is fascinating, but the museum lacks compelling exhibits. A lot of it is stuff I could read online. There are some artifacts that are interesting, but this is a sign heavy museum. I believe there are sometimes live pigeons here, but not all the time. The cages were empty when I visited. Overall, I would put this on the skip list. It's fine, but I would only recommend it to locals. For Route 66ers or other travelers, you can probably find attractions that are a better use of your time.
