Roath Park a blight upon the landscape

点评：Roath Park Lake was always considered a gem of a place to visit .
It has been left to rot by the council who are more interested in
international affairs , speed limits and cycle lanes.
1] The lake itself is untended , parts covered in algae and overhanging trees
about to fall in .
2] The bridge at the north side is covered in pigeon poo and is never cleaned
or maintained .
3] When I last visited there were 2 boats on the lake [ thats 2 more than I have
ever seen on Llanishen Reservoir] with 3 people employed for this task .
How on earth can there be a charge of £20 an hour for a pedal boat .
Some of you might recall the Roath Pride which took passengers around the
lake . This is now stored away in a cage by the shore to disintegrate . Perhaps
it could be sold to the navy for action in the Straits of Hormuz .
4] I can fully understand the significance of memorial benches for the loss or memory
of a loved one but there must be some sort of plan that the benches and plates
are regularly maintained; many at present are the worse for wear .
At the same time could the lighthouse be painted using a product that does not
fade within a year or two .
Finally I am surprised that the council have not allowed a tatooist , vape shop,
charity shop and Turkish Barber to have premises in a prominent position.
Perhaps a machete shop as we will soon need machetes to to hack trees and
vegetation to walk round the park.
