点评:We combined this with the Sound of Music Trail (less than 10 mins away) on a scorching day in June before heading to the airport for our flight home! With that in mind, we had to do a fairly pacey hike to the cave in midday sun so although we are both young and fit, we were a sweaty, slightly wobbly mess by the time we reached the ice cave entrance...
HOWEVER...once we entered and the icy air hit us, we absolutely loved our tour!! The steps they warn you about are absolutely nothing (easy peasy!!) in comparison to the hike as they are all fairly shallow wooden steps so if you complete the hike, you will be absolutely fine!! Our tour guide was funny, interesting and lit the cave in the most amazing places for us to experience the full magic of the ice formations! He even let us take sneaky photos when we stopped as we were a small group and he was "in a good mood"! We loved the extra touch of holding the lanterns throughout as they have been doing this since the cave opened over 100 years ago and really added to the atmosphere and experience!
Definitely worth a visit to the world's largest ice cave - add to your itinerary!!
