Kondalilla Falls的点评
点评：What a difference some rain makes!
Last time I was here (2016, December) the place was as dry as a bone & there was barely a trickle over the famous falls which drop 90 metres into a lush rainforest valley below. It was hot, dry & a little uninspiring
Thankfully the Sunshine Coast had been gifted with plenty of rain in late 2024 & Kondalilla Falls was pumping and you could feel, see & smell the rejuvenating influence of the rain as we walked the Kondalilla Falls Circuit (4.8km). Everything just seemed so perfect & the plants & vegetation were thriving.
The water in the swimming hole was brown due to the gushing water but it was a perfect day of sun & blue skies so Ryan & I had a swim in the rock pool & it was amazing. We used to come here as kids & it never seems to change although the size of the falls always seemed larger as a kid. There were lots of people (and the carpark was chokkas) but most people just walk to the swimming hole & back, and we didn’t see many walkers on the circuit track
Afterwards we drove into Montville & had sweets at The Edge cafe - scones with jam & cream, carrot cake & tea & coffee with a view overlooking the Sunshine Coast!
