Aggressive barmaid- avoid.
PALS BAR的点评
点评：Sat in the square in which this pub laughingly called “pals” is situated. Girl in black approached me and i ordered a drink. Unknown to me i was just outside the pals line at the resturaunt which shares the space. When the “pals”barmaid ( or possible owner which would be worse) approached, she told me the resturaunt was closed but i could still sit there. I asked for an ashtray. My drink arrived and when the pals woman came back, she let out an angry rant seeing that i already had a drink and demanded to know who served me. I informed her that someone dressed identical to her had. ( from the allegedly closed resturaunt it turns out). I was then subject to verbal abuse, the ashtray hastily withdrawn and a horrendous attitude the likes of which after 30 years in the customer service industry i have never had the misfortune to experience. All we wanted was a quiet drink. Advice to brutal barmaid/owner - remember who pays your wages and dont try and take your bad day out on tourists for no reason. We had planned a few drinks in your bar, but couldnt get away from the hostile atmosphere quick enough. As a bizzare postscript, she sat at a table on the resturaunt side for a break. Go figure.shout out to the Almond plaice which provided excellent proffesional and friendly service un direct comparison to the bar they share the square with.
