Whiteman Park – More Interesting Than Kings Park, Hands Down

点评：Look, Kings Park is nice and all, but if you want a day out that’s got a bit more going on, Whiteman Park wins every time. This place is packed with history, wildlife, vintage transport, and just good old-fashioned fun.
You’ve got the Tractor Museum for the old-school machinery buffs, the Motor Museum for car lovers, and even a classic tram ride that’s way more fun than sitting in traffic looking at the city skyline. The tram’s a ripper too—smooth as, scenic, and if you’re up for it, you can take it all the way to the real train station for a proper old-school ride.
If animals are more your thing, there’s Caversham Wildlife Park, where you can get up close with kangaroos, wombats, and even a few farm animals. The kids love it, and let’s be real—feeding a roo is way better than looking at flowers. The show with the sheep, and they actully sheer a sheep, and crack whips, amazing.
Plenty of space for a BBQ, heaps of bushland to explore, and no shortage of things to see and do. Whether you’re into history, animals, or just want a solid day out with the family, Whiteman Park is where it’s at.
Kids love the little pool, and the cafe is licensesd, so you can blow the top off a cold one too.
