点评：When this pub reopened in summer 2024, many locals were cautiously optimistic. It looked like a chance to bring something positive back to the area. For a few weeks, it seemed promising - respectful opening hours, manageable noise, and a generally considerate approach.
Unfortunately, that didn’t last.
As time went on, the pub’s operations became increasingly disruptive. Music volumes were turned up, windows and doors left wide open late into the night - often until 1 or 2am - despite clear licensing restrictions. Live music events began to appear regularly, with little to no regard for noise control or residential impact.
More worrying is the behaviour outside the venue (main street): groups gathering to smoke, litter despite the pub having a considerably large garden in the back, play loud music from cars, shout across the street, and generally treat the neighbourhood like a festival field or an afterparty - in the middle of a quiet village. Driveways have been blocked, sleep disturbed, and a quiet residential street turned into a late-night hotspot - with no consideration to locals.
This isn’t about disliking pubs. It’s about basic respect for those who live nearby. This venue has shown little of it.
