点评:I went to Rushley not long ago and the food and service were lovely, it was very busy when I went, so it did take a long time for the food to arrive. That’s why the service is rated 3 out of 5 stars. The food was nice. However, the way two of the staff were speaking to a waitress was absolutely vile.
I could see she was trying her best to serve everyone, despite how busy Rushley was. And she was serving me, apologising for the wait for the food (which was about an hour, maybe a little more), and I told her it was okay and that she shouldn’t panic. But the two other staff members wouldn’t leave her alone. I could hear them shouting at the waitress because I was sat near the kitchen.
The poor waitress served me and I could see she was holding back her tears. I felt terrible for her, but she still tried to smile through it. The staff need to learn to treat each other better, even if Rushley is busy. That poor waitress didn’t deserve how she was treated, and I haven’t seen her since that day. I debated whether to make this review or not, but I ultimately decided I had to. This was my reason for rating the atmosphere 1 out of 5 stars. The other staff need to learn to be respectful to everyone, including their colleagues. They need to learn that, even when Rushley is busy, they shouldn’t take their frustrations or stress out on anyone, not even their colleagues. But well done to that waitress for trying to serve with a smile despite the fact she was about to cry. If those staff members who were talking to her so poorly haven’t been punished, I seriously think they should be, it was unacceptable the way the waitress was getting spoken to.
