点评：The George is one of our local pubs and it's great to see it flourishing in new hands. The return to a simple well cooked menu is encouraging with theme nights during the week to encourage custom is great. The food is outstanding and the staff are very attentive which can occasionally appear a little overbearing, but is well intentioned. The only thing that I noticed during my recent visit was that there was garlic theme included in a lot of the dishes (something thst I can not tolerate) that reduced my menu choices and it seemed very limited vegetarian options for a main meal (I only noticed one option).
The main thing is that the atmosphere and willingness to produce great food and customer service is all evident, and the team respond to constructive feedback. A great meal and I will definitely be returning again for one of their weekday theme nights. Another thing to note is the recent(ish) addition of a loyalty card giving 10% off all food and drink. The cost of applying for this can easily be recovered in a few visits, so it is definitely worth it if you live locally, with the added bonus that it can be used in the sister pub as well!
