Not good, extremely slow service especially with an infant.

点评：We were recommended this pub, so we thought we would go there as a special treat, with our 2 and a half year old granddaughter. We wanted 12.30 but were given 12.45.
We thought it all looked lovely in and out, so we were looking forward to it.
After being shown to our table, menus other than children’s, we’re on the table. The staff eventually came to take our drink order at which time we asked for the child’s menu. Having received this, we placed our order and after some while received our drinks and starter. Thank goodness I shared my garlic bread with my granddaughter as the main course wasn’t turning up! By this time we had been at the table for at least 45 mins and our granddaughter was obviously hungry. We enquied with a waiter who checked and said it would be another 10-15mins. My husband visited the bar and spoke to someone who implied that having had a starter, we had gone to the back of the queue for main courses!!
We were told it was in hand but by now our little granddaughter, who had been as good as gold, started to cry, saying her tummy hurt and she was really hungry. This broke my heart as it was our granddaughters first meal out with us alone. In view of this, we decided to leave rather than upset the rest of the restaurant.
She was upset. We didn’t know if we had time to get home and cook ,as by this time it had gone 2pm. Our little granddaughter said” don’t worry Grandma we can go to McDonalds”. Which we did in Hitchin.
The food that came out while I was there for some 1 and 1/2 hours, did look good, but unfortunately we never got to taste it and to be honest, not likely to find out as we won’t be returning.

她很不高兴。我们不知道有没有时间回家做饭，因为那时已经下午两点了。我们的小孙女说：“奶奶，别担心，我们可以去麦当劳。”我们去了希钦。
