Short ferry ride, check the return times!!

点评：Nice short ferry ride over to the Toronto islands.
Good value for money. Great views of the city.
The only reason I have marked it down is because the schedules are not well enough publicised. We took a morning ferry to Hanlon Point. I asked a man on board when the ferry returned and he said every half hour. We took him at his word. Sadly there was not a return ferry from this point for hours. The schedules should be on the boats themselves and on the quay near to where passengers get on and off. There was a schedule posted but it was round the corner in a shelter and not easy to see.
We had intended only being on the island for a short time as we were primarily only going for the city views as the island was yet to open for the season. We ended up being there for three hours and having lunch there at Centre Island in Subway after a very long walk which we had not planned for. A lot of time out of our day in the end.
Don’t hesitate to use the ferry or to visit the islands, just be sure to check the schedules should yourself. The crew could do more to inform people.
Luckily we were both able to walk the hour or so to the quay at Centre Island otherwise we would have had a very long boring wait. The islands will be was still in winter season when we visited.
Recommended for city views. I think the islands will be amazing in the summer.
