Overly delicate and fragile staff.

点评：My husband and a group of friends booked in for a meal on Friday evening a couple of weeks ago. The pub was very busy and the beer garden was full of adults enjoying drinks and the warm weather.
The group of friends sat in the beer garden having pre-meal drinks while waiting for their table inside the restaurant to become available. A female member of staff was passing their table and they asked her for more drinks.
I don't know whether it was because she was narked at them asking her for drinks because apparently they don't do table service, though the group of friends weren't to know this, but she got highly offended when asked for a pint of Bandit by one of the group, which started a bit of banter between the friends and the phrase Bum Bandit was mentioned. It was not even said to the staff member and it was a group of men having banter down the pub between themselves.
The next thing they knew, after having their meal, (which was mediocre btw) was the pub landlord coming to warn them about their language earlier in the beer garden. They were flabbergasted since it's Friday night and there were tables of other customers using MUCH more offensive language than that!
Suggest the staff develop a thicker skin or grow a pair if choosing to work in a pub environment, as this is the norm throughout pubs in Britain on a Friday night out. If you can't cope, perhaps get a job in more upmarket establishment or something that is not customer facing.
So, after spending well over £300 on food and drinks and then being spoken to like they had done something terribly offensive and terribly wrong they have decided they will never return to the plough and they will never recommend it to anyone else either. In act they have already lost you several customers as they know A LOT of people, but hey ho, you crack on, mate. Oops I hope that didn't offend your delicate ears.
