点评：What a find. The quaintest pub / restaurant I’ve been to in ages. We shared some bread with salted butter as our starter. The bread was super fresh and obvs from a loaf, none of this sliced bread rubbish here. For our mains Mrs C had a delicious steak and ale pie which was chock full of meat and housed in really light flakey pastry. I had 3 types of pork, which was actually four types with shredded white cabbage. All the food was outstanding. We ate in the bar area which had a tremendous local feel about it and was a great environment to enjoy a fab meal. The staff were very friendly and chatty despite being very busy. Based on how busy it was when we went, you definitely need your book on the evening sitting.
Although food, atmosphere and staff were all 100%, some people might find parking a difficulty as the streets are narrow and the car park is on a steep hill. That didn’t detract from our enjoyment but disabled people might find parking challenging.
