Zoodoo野生动物园的点评
点评：The Zoo is currently undergoing renovations give it until 2027 to visit. When charging full price for entry they provide little for adults. There is an emphasis on kids playgrounds.
The main attraction a pair of lions in a run down enclosure set for replacement Dec 2026. The animals on display are minimal, a handful of Meerkats, squirrel monkeys, a pair of servals. The reptile display is at 50% with only 3 snakes on display. We counted 1 koala, echidna, camel and ostrich. Maybe 30 kangaroos in a muddy mess, a mob of emus, 2 Tassie devils and birds mostly budgies, a few kookaburras, macaws, finches and doves. There are 3 highland cows, some rabbits and a few guinea pigs. The new highly advertised aquarium unfortunately is pretty ordinary not much of an aquarium compared to others.
They do have free parking onsite a bit muddy in the wet. They also allow you to bring in a picnic which is very fair for families.
I think they should take a look at what included experiences are provided to visitors by Featherdale Wildlife Park -NSW and Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary -QLD. Namely multiple photo opportunities and interactions by keepers with lizards, snakes and birds.
Hobart Zoo are building many kids playground areas, new enclosures and picnic and food areas. Hopefully within another year it might be a beautiful zoo.
