Poor experience for a Wake

点评：We booked the upstairs area for a family Wake (which had been recommended by a friend), overall customer experience to prebook was fine, all done online (although had to chase a couple of times). Booked for 50 heads (pre-booked menu) - what we received didn’t feel like enough food for 50 for one thing, and there was also meant to be crisps in which we received none.
We put money behind the bar for a tab which was pre-agreed on email and had to go downstairs to order this at the bar as normal.
We were then charged service for the whole bill (food and tab) and which was not mentioned and begrudge paying service when we had to go to the bar ourselves (had we not put the tab on there we wouldn’t of paid service on every round?)
We booked the area for 3 hours and bang on the 3 hour mark we were told to move to the side so they could put the tables back out for customers who weren’t even there, which felt extremely thoughtless (seeing as it was a wake on a Monday afternoon)
Wouldn’t recommend this pub for any function, poor experience overall.
