点评：Stayed here to attend a wedding at a nearby venue. Arrived Friday night, quick and easy check in, straight upstairs to the room. Room small and compact but we were not here to be in the room so that doesn't matter. Had dinner in the bar; reasonable pub grub - no complaints. The room on both nights was surprisingly quiet despite the window being onto the main road. No noise from the pub, outside or any other rooms. Shower room small, corner shower but plentiful hot water and adjustable shower head for height. Breakfast excellent both mornings; juice, coffee (as much as you wanted), cereal, yogurts and a selection of hot choices. We both had full English each morning and I was impressed. My only issue was that the bed was small, possibly smaller than a standard double and my other half is a full sized male so we did struggle for space! Nearly fell out in the middle of Saturday night! In the pub's defence we didn't mention it - we were only there for two nights - and if we had there might have been other beds available. Would recommend for a short stay or if you are passing through Barnard Castle. You would be close enough for the main attractions and town if you don't mind a walk. There is plenty of parking too. They also offer camper van spaces of you pay for food/drink in the bar.
