Not a pub for Real Ale lovers

点评：Never been here before but looked quaint so was hopeful the pub would have a good choice of real ale on offer. On entering however was greeted with a mass of taps serving ‘craft beer’. My spirits lifted when I eventually found two handpumps, only to find it they had Abbot and Doom Bar. I opted for the Abbot only to be told it was ‘off until 4pm’. I was advised to have a taster of a craft beer, I don’t recall the name, but when I enquired where it was brewed received the answer “ I don’t know, but got it from Heineken…”. Not the right answer, as, having been a CAMRA member for 30 years, I am dead against multinationals gobbling up small breweries. What with the Doom Bar (Molston Coors), Abbot (CK Asset Holdings), and the Heineken link, this pub is not doing well in my book. A nice country pub should be serving some local beer, brewed by an independent brewer.
