点评:I am local and have had numerous bad experiences in this pub. It’s such a shame as it has so much potential but the staff are incredibly rude and the beer is awful.
Latest example: last night visited with my 79 yo dad. Halloween so very busy. Found table without reserved sign in back room. Ordered pint of Blue Moon which was patently off when poured as weird colour - tasted rank so had to return it - to be fair they did give me another drink without any problem but beer shouldn’t be off in first place.
Back room filled up with lots of people. Manager walks in, points at us and shouts across ‘have you booked a table?’, I respond in the negative and rather than politely letting us know the room is reserved for a private party, she just turned to a bloke stood near us and shouted ‘no, they haven’t got a table, this whole area is yours’, turned and left. Whole room staring at us, very embarrassing. Bloke she spoke to embarrassed by the exchange too & apologised - hardly his fault!
We stood up to leave and stand by bar and I saw her and mainly because I was with my elderly dad and felt embarrassed for him told her ‘that was very embarrassing for us the way you shouted at us’ and she just said ‘that table was booked’. I said it wasn’t and we both just shrugged our shoulders.
Stood by the bar 10 minutes later and a bloke taps me on the shoulder - manager has asked him to from behind the bar, and she shouts to me again across the crowded bar ‘that room is booked for a private party, just so you know’. I reply, ok but we didn’t know, and she said ‘I just got here not my fault’. Just no concept of manners, hospitality, customer service. Not the first time, no idea how it stays open.

我们起身准备离开,走到吧台边站着,我看到了她。主要是因为我带着年迈的父亲,替他感到尴尬,就跟她说:“你刚才那样冲我们大吼大叫,我们觉得很丢脸。”她只是说:“那张桌子已经被预订了。”我说没有,我们俩都耸了耸肩。
十分钟后,我们又站在吧台边,一个男的拍了拍我的肩膀——是经理让他从吧台后面过来的。她又隔着拥挤的吧台冲我喊:“那个房间被预订了,是私人聚会,你知道吗?”我回答说:“好的,但我们不知道。”她又说:“我刚到,这不怪我。”真是毫无礼貌、待客之道和客户服务意识。这已经不是第一次了,真不知道这家店是怎么维持下去的。
