点评：Driving down the little lane towards the pub doesn’t quite prepare you for a very special country pub in a glorious setting. We didn’t know what to expect but the honey coloured stone shone in the sunshine of a warm summer day and tables with parasols with happy diners enjoying this stunning spot in the warmth.
We decided to sit inside and a what a delight the interiors are - someone has put huge amounts of thought and detail into every single corner whilst retaining the inherent character. Perfection and we are already imagining winter visits!
We ordered drinks and then decided to have the chicken in a basket with fries and slaw which was very generous and we shared it. The quality and taste was exceptional and the staff really added to the experience, being warm and hospitable.
Planning to return again next week and not sure we want to spread the word too much as we would like to keep this little gem all to ourselves. Highly recommended and we cannot wait to go back.
