From the moment we stepped aboard Tony’s narrowboat, we knew we were in for something special.
Our holiday with KTM Boats Bath Ltd Aboard ‘Narrow Escape’ was more than just a canal trip, it was a truly magical experience that we will cherish for years to come.
Tony was the perfect host from start to finish. His attention to detail, genuine care for our comfort, and the little touches he added made all the difference. From a thoughtful welcome aboard to providing everything we could possibly need (and more), he ensured that we felt confident, relaxed, and utterly at home.
Before setting off, Tony provided us with thorough and clear training, he assisted us along the canal and through the first Lock, making novices feel like seasoned boaters. His knowledge of the Kennet and Avon Canal and the surrounding towns, locks, pubs, and scenic walks was absolutely invaluable. His insights turned every bend in the canal into a new discovery.
The boat itself was very cosy, and although it was a little bit in need of some TLC, this was more than compensated by its wonderful charm and character. It was good value for money, especially considering the care and service provided. This wasn’t just a hire, it felt like borrowing a much-loved family boat from a dear friend.
We left with smiles on our faces, full hearts, and a deep appreciation for the peace, beauty, and joy that only a canal holiday can offer. Thank you, Tony, for giving us a break we’ll never forget. We’re already dreaming about coming back!
