The Carpenters Arms - Fangfoss的点评
点评：Myself and partner, new to the area where looking for a nice country pub with home made Sunday dinners , came across the Carpenters arms ,looked very inviting.
First stop 12pm it started to rain ,we dashed across the car park to find the door locked, 4 minutes past 12 the door opened with 0 urgency while we were getting wet , then the lady took her time putting latches off the door while we still stood there still getting wet!!
No smile ,no friendly greeting ,the attitude was ( well you are here now so you better come in ! )
It was downhill all the way from then on.
Having politely asked the chef is there a Sunday dinner menu , he curtly said No, !
but we were hungry and were given a menu which was very limited.
We had ordered two coffees but was like a cup of hot milk, after drinking the coffee seems we had paid upfront for the food and coffee, my partner could not drink his coffee and left it after a mouthful, our dinner arrived I had chips and scampi ,the chips were very undercooked ,some to the point of raw, my partners burger was so tasteless , the atmosphere was awful, and virtually had the meals thrown at us , considering there was no one else in the place .
Awful food, the staff could do with spending a year at Charm School. NEVER AGAIN !
