点评:We were in the area for a 60th celebration and stopped here on our way home.
We ordered drinks via the app, but it wouldn’t apply my Blue Light discount. We decided to order anyway. When the drinks arrived, I was given a shot of Pimm’s, which was completely wrong and not even an option on the app. When I queried it, the waitress said that’s what showed on their screen. I explained it should be a standard Pimm’s with lemonade. It came back with barely any lemonade, so I had to send it back again to be corrected. We also had to ask for one of our drinks that had been missed entirely.
We then ordered food at the till so I could use the Blue Light discount, which was one of the main reasons we chose this place. However, we were told they couldn’t apply it as it didn’t show on their system—so why is it advertised on the app? The website also states 30% off mains, but staff said they knew nothing about this and couldn’t apply it either.
To make matters worse, several items were unavailable, including the chicken wings and pulled pork dirty fries, so we had to change our order. Part of our group ordered a few minutes later via the app as they needed more time to decide.
When the food arrived, my son noticed the HP sauce bottle was out of date. My chicken tikka was served with an extremely greasy poppadom. The final meal didn’t arrive until 25 minutes later—by which point everyone else had finished—and the spicy chicken burger was dripping in sauce. While we appreciate that part of the order was placed slightly later, you would expect the kitchen to notice it was for the same table and serve everything together.
If things hadn’t gone wrong from the start, we might not have been so critical, but the issues just kept adding up throughout the visit.
Overall, it was a very poor experience and we won’t be returning.
