This country pub sets the Benchmark and with a wild horse and pony show outside.

点评：Family and I rented a house close by and visited this place often. As country pubs and country pub food goes, this sets the benchmark for country pubs in my book and the wife and I have visited many. They have some very good chefs in those kitchens.
Great food, really well cooked and the portions are huge, especially the Sunday roast. If you are wanting to go for their Sunday roast, I would advise you book in advance as the place gets packed out. The staff are very friendly and accommodating as well, even though they are usually rushed off their feet. The breakfasts are excellent and make for a great start to the day before you venture out.
My favourite part about this place though is that the road outside seems to be a resting point for wild ponies and donkeys and they are to be found hanging around outside daily. Often to the bemusement of traffic stuck behind them until they desire to trot off somewhere else but, to the great enjoyment of those in the pub watching the entertaining traffic jam.
