Didn’t appreciate the free cabaret!

点评：We’re staying locally and decided to visit for dinner after reading the reviews.
The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy on arrival, but we were shown to a table for 2 effectively in the middle of the restaurant. Not what you would call cosy. To make matters worse, there were 4 very loud locals next to us in a lounge bar area who chose to use the ‘f’ word in every sentence. Just as well we aren’t local, as they seemed to be talking about a certain few people in the local community, particularly Angie and Louis. We seem to know a lot about the latter’s lives now together with the decline in quality of red diesel!!
Anyway, not conducive to a pleasant evening. The staff had to be aware of the locals and yet still chose to seat us where they did. I get the locals are probably patrons year round and us, as tourists, aren’t going to put as much money in the till, however still short sighted. We are in the area for a week and likely to eat out everyday but certainly won’t be going back, even though the food was good and the venue convenient for us.
