The Master Builder的点评
点评：During the week we drove past the Master Builder pub and we saw that they were advertising a Sunday carvery. So Saturday evening we went online to book a table. Unfortunately the site wouldn’t accept a booking for the next day. We phoned the pub and they were happy to book a table for two for 14:30.
When we arrived the car park was almost full (very popular). We were greeted by a very happy helpful lady who confirmed our booking and showed us to our table explaining that I was to order food and drinks at the bar when ready.
My wife and I had the very reasonably priced carvery, I had a pint of Swordfish ale and my wife had a tonic water. We were served our dinners at the hot counter the food all looked beautifully presented. Very generous portions of meat and help yourselves to a lovely selection of vegetables sauces and gravy.
The food was delicious. I had Turkey and my wife had Pork both were cooked well and not dry (as we have found in another local carvery).
We managed to eat every bit, and there was plenty. So good we found room for pudding. Syrup sponge for me and Lemon sponge and custard for my wife.
The Master Builder pub is very clean, no televisions so people talk to each other. Very friendly staff, great decor with tools on the walls and brick hods as planters in the garden all keeping the theme to the name of this great public house. We will be back.
