Not at all bad, but not memorable.

点评：Tall victorian building with tall ceilings and found opposite the Sidings in Castleton. The main dining area and a bar are in one room, turning right in the doorway. There seemed to be further dining area to the left, but it was not seen. Decor is simple but tastefully done. The welcome at the bar is pleasant, if not cheerful and chatty. A small range of about five draught and various bottled beers is available. Stella Artois ,Guinness, Manx and a cloudy, hoppy, local craft light beer being four of them. The menu has a small but well selected range of dishes incuding: Roast Ham, Chicken breast, cod and chips, burger and beef pie, lasagne, curry and Mac and cheese.
The service was rather on the slow side, but they were very busy and obviously overstretched. Burger was on the dry side with little taste, but the chips were very good and looked hand cut and home made. The Chicken breast with chorizo was enjoyable and so was the roast ham (pineapple or egg choice)
Sweets. The usual crowd pleasers, sticky toffee pud, apple pie, bread n butter pud...
Toffee pudding went down well.
Bread and butter pudding was stodgy, undercooked and the bread was not soaked fully. Not nice.
Costs-reasonable.
No large groups withour prior arrangement.
They are a small facility with limited staff and were very overstretched. I don't think we saw them at best. On a quiet night, is probably the time to go.
