Disappointing return visit - it's the little things that matter

点评：We’ve been to the Baker’s Arms many times over the years and always enjoyed it — friendly service, a warm atmosphere, and good food. Nothing fancy - just good hospitality. Made you feel welcome.
Unfortunately, this visit was different. The pub was busy, which is great to see, but the service felt impersonal. The staff member taking our order barely looked up from her iPad, and later we were asked to move from one bar area to another when regulars arrived — which made us feel more like an inconvenience than guests, despite having reserved.
A small example sums it up: when I asked for mustard with my beef, I was told there wasn’t any. Moments later, we asked someone else and was given some. Truth is, she couldn't be bothered to check. It’s a tiny thing, but those details really do make a difference.
On the plus side, the food was good — but the overall experience lacked the warmth we’d always appreciated here. Sadly, it’s those little touches that turn a good meal into an experience, and this time they were missing. Not sure we will return.
